Installing the drivers is a two stage process. Before you insert the wireless card, make sure to install the Client Manager software. This is a program that you can use to monitor the performance of your link and adjust the wireless network parameters. This part is easy and works well. The second stage involves loading the drivers for the card, which can either go smoothly or require some extra work. There should be a manual from Lucent describing the process in the box with the wireless PC cards. If you currently have an older version of the software or drivers on your computer, you should remove them first before proceeding. Look at the Readme file for more information.

Installing the Client Manager software

1. Open the Cl_Mgr folder. It is located in the files you unpacked from the download or on the CD.
2. Double click on the Setup icon to start the installation.

Installing the PC card drivers

1. Insert the PC card into your computer. The Add New Hardware dialog should start.
   

2. When you are prompted for drivers, click on the browse button and navigate to the Driver folder in the files that you downloaded.

3. Once the driver has finished loading, the Add/Edit Configuration Profile will open. Continue on to the next section for the network setup.
